# Onboarding: from your URL to an always-on system

Onboarding happens right in Chat, and it starts with one thing: your URL.

1. **Add your URL.** Paste your company URL into Chat. That single prompt kicks everything off.
2. **We build your context from public info.** Audience Loop reads what's public about your company and assembles your starting context — Audience, Brand, and Competition.
3. **Review and confirm.** You check what it found and fix anything that's off. Your confirmation turns a draft into your working context.
4. **Connect your tools.** Link your CRM and ad accounts. Now context gets richer — real customers, real spend, and real outcomes flow in.
5. **Set your focus.** Pick your master goals and, if you're ready, your first target. See [Master goals & targets](/using-audience-loop/overview/master-goals-and-targets.md).
6. **Pick a plan.** Start on Free and upgrade anytime — see [Plans & credits](/manage/overview-1.md).

When onboarding is done, you have an always-on system: it keeps your context fresh, works your goals and targets over your [AUM](/how-it-works/how-the-loop-works.md), and surfaces anything that needs you in [Pulse](/using-audience-loop/overview-2.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.aloop.icustomer.ai/introduction/onboarding.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
